Prequalification For Construction DHQ/THQ Hospitals

The Department of Health of the Azad Government Jammu and Kashmir has received a grant from the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW Development Bank for the reconstruction of:

1. District Headquarter Hospital Bagh
2. Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Kahuta

Applications for pre-qualifications are invited from construction companies or joint ventures wishing to be considered for execution of the above project

Only applicants who fulfill the criteria below will be eligible for application:

• Current registration (in accordance with the PEC Act 1975) with the Pakistan Engineering Council as Constructor, Category C-1,
• Average annual turnover of at least PKR 250 million during the last three years and
• Execution within the last three years of at least one public sector project with a value of least PKR 40 million.

Further requirements and the evaluation criteria are contained in the prequalification documents, which may be purchased from the offices of the Consultant to the HIP protect:

• By collection, on payment of a non-refundable fee in the sum of PKR 5,000 or,
• By letter of application, accompanied by a bank draft in the sum of PKR 7,500 made in the name of "Health Infrastructure, AJ & K/DoH/KfW" at the following address:

AJK Health Infrastructure Program, Financed by the German Government Through KfW Development Bank House # D-62, Upper Chattar Scheme, Muzaffarabad, AJK

The deadline for application is Friday December 28th 2007 1800 Hours.

The Program Executing Agency reserves the right to reject any or all of the applications without assigning any reason.

Following pre-qualifications, the tender process will be conducted in accordance with the Guidelines for procurement of KfW Development Bank and the laws of Pakistan.

Contractors who have been pre-qualified will then be invited to purchase Tender Documents, at a non-refundable price of PKR 10,000.
