Upstream Petroleum Sector Rights - Prequalification 

CALL FOR PREQUALIFICATION OF OPERATORS
AND NON-OPERATING COMPANIES IN THE
UPSTREAM PETROLEUM SECTOR

Applications for Pre-qualification are invited from the interested Companies to be consider for participation in bidding rounds for grant of exclusive Petroleum Rights in accordance with the provisions of of the relevant Offshore and Onshore Rules (incase of Offshore & Onshore area respectively) and the Petroleum Exploration & Production Policy , 2007.

2. Applicants are required to submit a pre-qualification application under a sealed cover to DGPC  presently located at 1019-A , PAK Plaza, Fazal-e-Haq Road ,Blue Area , Islamabad in accordance with the Petroleum Exploration & Production Policy 2007 before any companies can bid for any block.

3. DGPC will be the sole judge with respect to pre-qualification of the companies in the light of minimum criteria set forth in Policy 2007  for Onshore Operator , Onshore Non-Operator , Offshore Operator Offshore Non-Operator.

4. A "Call for Pre-qualification " or any submission made in response to this Call for Pre-qualification does not constitute or give rise to any obligation on the part of the DGPC to any obligation on the part of the DGCP to grant any petroleum licence or lease.

5. Pre-qualification minimum criteria provided in Annexure-4 to the Petroleum Exploration & Production Policy 2007 can be down loaded from Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources website i.e. www.mpnr.gov.pk  or obtained from DGCP office.
