Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) an apex scientific and research organization at national level in the agriculture sector is looking for independent Project Director for PSDP funded project titled "National Integrated Pest Management (IPM)". The potential candidates should have following qualifications and relevant experience.

 Project Director (BS-20)

Age : 50-55

Place of Posting : Islamabad

Remuneration : Project Allowance of Rs. 50,000/- in addition to salary package offered to Project Director (BS-20) OR Rs. 1,00,000/- p.m. (Lump sum)

Qualification / Experience & other requirements

QUALIFICATIONS :

PhD. (Entomology/Plant Pathology/Biological Sciences related to any discipline of Plant Protection).

EXPERIENCE :

1. The candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 year experience in field implementation of IPM practices through Training of Facilitators (ToF) and Farmer Field School (FFS) approach, in addition to overall service experience of 17 years in BS-17 and above.
2. Fifteen research publication in refereed journals of international repute approved & listed by HEC.
3. Must have leadership qualities and proven track record to manage and monitor plant protection related project any ability to manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals for project implementation and efficient & effective use of available resources.
4. Experience of working in or with government organizations. Hands-on knowledge of computers will be preferred.  

JOB DESCRIPTION/TORs

1. 1- The Project Director will be responsible for implementation of the project till its completion. He/She will be responsible for the internal administrative and financial control of the project as  per PC-1.
2.  2- The Project Director will be initially recruited on contract for a period of 2 years and extended till the completion of project subject to satisfactory performance.
3. 3- The position involves extensive traveling and field work with head office at NARC. Age limit is flexible in exceptional cases.
