Faculty Positions - NLU

Application are invited for the following project funded positions of the Higher Education Commission, on contract basis under Tenure System (Except at Serial No. 5) in the National Law University , (Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi Campuses).

1. Name of Post and Salary package: Professors Rs. 180,000-8,800-312,500 (pm) (All inclusive)

Qualification and Experience: 1. Ph D in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institution 2. 15 years teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

or

1. LL.M / J.D. or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institution. 2. 17 years teaching / research experience with at least 8-years experience after LL.M / J.D. or equivalent degree in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 12 research publications in HEC Recognized Journals (with at least 3 publications in last 5-years)

2. Name of Post and Salary Package: Assistant Professors Rs. 80.000-5,500-161,000 (pm) (All Inclusive)

Qualification and Experience: Ph D in Law or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institution.

or

1. LL. M / J.D. or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized University / Institution. 2. 4-years teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized university or a post-graduate Instituted or professional experience in the relevant field in an National or International organization.

3. Name of Post and Salary package: Junior Faculty Members / Lecturers (Law) Rs. 50,000-3,500-100,000 (pm) (All inclusive)

Qualification and Experience: LLB Degree (First Class) from an HEC recognized University / Institution.

No third division in the entire academic career.

4. Name of Post and Salary Package: Lecturers (Non-Law) Rs. 30.000-3,000-50,000 (pm) (All Inclusive)

Qualification and Experience: First Class Master's Degree in Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Sociology / Political Science / History / English / Philosophy or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University / Institution. No third division in the entire academic career.

MA (English) with 2nd Division can also apply).

5.  Name of Post and Salary Package: Registrar Rs. 35,000/- (All inclusive)

Qualification and Experience: First Class MA/ MBA/ LLB degree holders with 8-years teaching / administrative experience in an HEC recognized University or DAI. Candidates holding MA (English) with second-division can also apply. Candidates will be required to quality NTS test.

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in a university / DAI as Registrar or Deputy Registrar.

Candidates are required to submit a dossier (5 copies) that contains CV. Recommendation Letter's by Eminent scholars, Copies of all degrees / Certificates, Copies of Publications, 3 passport size photograph, any other relevant documents along with a postal order of Rs. 1,000/- in favor of the Director Finance, National Law University. Applicant from outside Pakistan need not send any postal order. Applications for all positions must be less than 60 years. Last date for receipt of applications is December 29, 2007, Incomplete / late applications will not be entertained . Only short listed candidates will be called for test / interviews. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in test / interview.
