EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

From Pakistani Consultants/Construction Management Firms

Background: The improvement of elementary education in Pakistan is among the highest priorities of the Government of Pakistan. The National Education Foundation , Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, has been given the responsibility to help achieve this objective.

This Request of EOI: The Purpose of this advertisement is to invite qualified and ISO Certified Pakistani Consultants/ Construction Management Firms (CMFs) to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for the design and construction management of approximately 1,000 primary schools, at sites located in all part of Pakistan. Design and construction management of these primary schools is to be completed in a period of 2 years starting in the first quarter of 2008. CMFs with past experience of handling similar works and presence in all parts of Pakistan, are invited to submit the following information.

1. Name & Registration of firm with copy of registration.

2. Address of Main & Branch offices including Tel / Fax numbers and email.

3. Enlistment with govt. / semi govt. organization.

4. Bio data of Technical staff on the firm's pay roll and their registration with Pakistan council of Architects and Town Planners and Pakistan Engineering Council.

5. List of projects with cost and name of client, undertaken during last five years or in hand, alongwith certificates from the clients.

6. Experience in similar works and presence in all parts of Pakistan.

7. Proof of financial standing.

8. Income Tax certificates of last 5 years.

9. An affidavit to the effect that firm has never been black listed.

10. Article / Memorandum of Associates, if any.

11. Particulars of Litigation / Arbitration cases in which the firm may have been involved during last ten years and result thereof.

The firms should be capable of offering the following services:

1. Carry out Topographic Survey of site.

2. Supervise geological / soil investigation tests for ascertaining the bearing capacity of selected sites.

3. Architectural and structural design as per user's requirement.

4. Preparation of specifications, tender documents and estimation of cost.

5. Assistance in the prequalification and appointment of Constrictors for the construction of school.

6. Detailed supervision and construction management of the construction.

The complete expression of interest (EOI) should reach the office of undersigned latest by 24 01 2008. EOIs received after this date will not be entertained. The Client reserves the right to accept or reject or all application without assigning any reason.
