Power Projects RFP

A public sector organization has been entrusted by Government of Pakistan to put up a series of large power plants on split package basis. Each project's duration may extend to a minimum of six years. The projects are to be financed by the Government of Pakistan with part financing from other source.

This organization is looking for reputed companies having the ability to perform civil construction and equipment installation activities of these projects. The companies having significant experience of construction and equipment installation of Power Plants /Large Industrial Projects and satisfying the following conditions may submit applications for pre-qualification:

• Minimum annual turnover in the areas of construction and equipment installation should be Rs. 2 billion or equivalent for the last three years.

• Must have completed construction and installation or large industrial projects including at least three power plants of the order of 200 MW or more.

• The company should be ready to work as a sub-contractor of, or form a consortium/joint venture with a Chinese company having relevant experience

The interested companies may provide the following specific information.:

1. Brief profile of company, size its age.

2. Relevance of experience of handling similar assignments with names of large projects (company work scope more than Rs. 1 billion or equivalent) completed and ongoing projects within/outside Pakistan.

3. Name of the contact person along with details of communication channels like phone no. (Office, mobile), fax no., e-mail address, company location, postal address, etc.

4. Any other information considered appropriate.

The selected companies will be contacted for providing pre-qualification documents according to the prescribed format.
