Notice Inviting Tender

Construction of Academic Block at IIU New Campus Sector H-10, Islamabad

1. International Islamic University invites sealed tenders for providing necessary labour, materials, equipments and services for the "Construction of Academic Block at New Campus Sector H-10, Islamabad", from reputed contractors who meet the following criteria:

i.  Firms already pre-qualified for building works by IIU at New Campus Sector H-10, Islamabad.

ii.  Firms enlisted with Pak PWD, MES, CDA in Cat-A-1 (No Limit) with PEC Registration under Cat C-1 may also participate subject to submission of the following documents in the office of the Director (P&P) International Islamic University, Faisal Mosque Campus, Islamabad, within 07 days of the appearance of this notice in the Press. The information required shall includes:-

1. Name, Permanent address and Telephone Number.
2. Partnership Dead/Articles of Association in Case of Company / Limited Firm with Power of Attorney.
3. Certificate of Registrations with Pakistan Engineering Council in Category C-1 and other Government/Semi Government Departments.
4. Name of similar projects executed in last three years costing up to Rs. 250 million each/in hand along with their nature, magnitude and period of completion, fully supported with the satisfactory performance/progress certificates for these works by Departments/Clients.
5. Details of annual turn-over for the last five years. Only those contractors/firms should apply who have a turn over of Rs. 100 million an above per year.
6. List of construction plant and machinery in working order available with the Contractor/Firm required for such type of work.
7. List of qualified Technical and Supervisory Staff along with their CVs.
8. Proof of financial standing duly supported with documentary evidence i.e. bank certificate, balance sheet, annual accounts etc.
9. Proof of registration with Income Tax Department along with certificate of up to date payment of Income Tax, Assessment orders etc.
10. An affidavit that the contractor/Firm has not been in litigation/black listed by any Client/Government/Semi Government Department/Autonomous Body.

iii.  The firms who meet the criteria mentioned under sub-para "a to j" above will be eligible to purchase tender documents and shall be notified accordingly.

2.  A complete set of Tender Documents may be purchased on production of demand draft or pay order amounting to Rs. 3000/- (Rupees three thousand) non-refundable in favour of National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. as the cost of Tender Documents from the Office of NESPAK. Building No. 17, Markaz F-6, Super Market. Islamabad, from January 25, 2008 onwards on any working day during the office hours up to three days prior to tender opening date.

3.  All bids must be accompanied by a Tender Security @2% of bid amount in an form as laid down in Instructions of Bidders.

4.  It is intended to hold a pre-bid meeting opening on February 15, 2008 at 10:00hrs in Conference Room, NESPAK, Building No. 17, Markaz F-6, Super Market, Islamabad.

5.  Bids will be received in the Office of Director (P&P), Faisal Masjid Campus, International Islamic University by February 26, 2008 at 11:00 hrs and will be opened at 11:30 on the same day, in the presence of Bidders/Bidder's representative who choose to attend. No tender document shall be sold after February 22, 2008.

6.  International Islamic University reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason (s) thereof.
