The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982, AKRSP has been working in northern Pakistan in the field of integrated rural development with the mission to promote inclusive human development and eradicate extreme poverty.

We are looking for a suitable, competent professional to fill in the position of Programme Manager Gender and Development based at our Islamabad office.

Job Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor organization's gender strategy and activities on the basis of regional needs and realities.
Identify and design innovative development programmes addressing women's strategic interests based on contextual needs of the region.
Build and support gender competence of resource persons within the organisation.
GaD related networking and lobbying at national level on gender themes, coordinating AKRSP's participation.
Facilitate preparation of annual programmes with a gender perspective.

Candidate should have:

Completed Masters in GaD preferably from a foreign university.
Up to 10 years relevant experience preferably in development sector.
Strong analytical (social and gender), interpersonal, training and networking skills.
