Head of Research

The Job

• Lead the research function of the Company

• Produce cutting edge excellent market research covering various industries and economic sectors.

• Prepare daily , weekly and monthly market reports covering various market segments and economic sectors.

• Formulate investment strategies by conducting in-depth research and write actionable recommendations that help financial advisors develop & implement investment solutions for that clients.

• Author written research reports and interact with management and advisors on such research reports.

• Carry out industry and market analysis and assess current and emerging trends in business practices product , and industry competition.

• Develop sector reviews of different economics sectors , analyze financial data and economic statistics and develop forecasts.

The Candidate

• MBA / MS degree from a top their business school , or a qualified CA / CFA

• 10-15 years experience in similar position in large financial services organizations.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are a must.

• Must have thorough understanding of criteria micro & macro -economic issues equity and debt markets.

• Highly numerate , analytical and well versed in complex financial / economic modeling and evaluations and be able to use different financial  / economic models for efficient asset allocation recommendations.

• Be capable of managing multiple projects independently in an efficient manner.

• Be able to keep abreast of new regulations or policies that may affect the industry.

• Must be self-motivated , proactive and able to work independently

• Flexible and ability to thrive in a fast -paced, unstructured entrepreneurial environment        

Senior Research Analyst

• Assist the Head of Research in research function of the Company.

• Perform comprehensive industry and company research activities independently

• Conduct feasibility studies for existing and potential projects.

• Carry out market analysis and provide consumer insight.

• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities and recommend strategies.

• Hold discussions with financial analysts and attend company presentations and industry conferences.

The Candidate

• MBA / MS degree from a top their business school or a qualified CA / CFA.

• 5-7 years experience in a similar position in large financial services organizations.

• Excellent analytical skills and well versed in financial modeling.

• Must be self-motivated , proactive and able to work independently.

• Excellent presentation skills

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

 The positions are Karachi - based with flexibility of relocating to Islamabad.
