The Higher Education Commission is establishing universities in collaboration with foreign partners under the UESTP Tech Park Programme. Work on four (4) universities has started and is expected to begin shortly on the others. Classes are expected to start on the main campus by 2010.

The Higher Education Commission is looking for two (2) Project Directors , 1 in Lahore and 1 in Karachi for implementation of two of these Mega Projects. These will be senior management positions reporting directly to the Executive Directors/Chairman, Higher Education Commission.

Appointment of Project Coordinators

Developing and leading a Project Development Team;
Tendering, contractor selection, award, and commissioning of the project.
Liaison/coordination with relevant government organization to get all approvals/consents;
Coordination, implementation and monitoring of all contract agreements;
General project planning and management in Pakistan in consultation with foreign partner universities.

Candidates Profile

Should have a University Degree in a branch of Engineering and/or Masters in Business Administration or similar qualification from a reputable University.
Managerial experience in large project.
Knowledge of technical, operational, commercial and contractual aspects of project implementation and modern computer assisted management techniques.
Should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be motivated and focused on project details.
