The Country Office of an international non-profit research organization is seeking applications for the following positions.

Director Communication

The Director Communication is responsible for the implementation of the communication program of the organization. The selected candidate will coordinate/undertake assessment and analyses of past and current communication strategies of key stakeholders in the field of health and population welfare including GOP (MOPW/MOH), UN agencies (UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO), bilateral donors (USAID, DFID) and consortium partners.

Eligibility Criteria:

•  Advanced University degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent professional work experience in the communication area, combined with a university degree in related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar position with a donor, multi-national organization or an international NGO.

Program Officer-Communications

The Program Officer Communications will assist in the development of internal and external communication plans, carry out technical editing of reports and other documents, write and circulate press releases and undertake advocacy where appropriate, prepare briefing papers, research summaries, information packages and other related material for the project.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Advanced university degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent professional work experience in the communication area, combined with a university degree in related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position with a donor, multi-national organization or an international NGO.

Program Officer-Social Mobilization

The Program Officer, Social Mobilization work with policymakers, religious leaders and other influential individuals and groups to foster support for project, conduct activities to mobilize and engage the general public to develop support for project, follow up with partners regarding the implementation of community/social mobilization activities at the district levels, organize public events to raise awareness about project and birth spacing as a health intervention.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Degree in Population Studies, Community Development or related fields.
• At least 7 years of experience working with an NGO in Positions of increasing responsibility for reporting and management,\.
• Five years experience in developing and implementing sector activities with a focus on family planning, reproductive health etc.

All positions require excellent command on written and spoken English, Strong IT and interpersonal communication skills.
