SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGHER STUDIES ABROAD

Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Rawalpindi seeks application for the Human Resource Development (HRD) PhD Scholarship Program. FJWU is a newly established university and has ample openings for the teachers to improve their educational qualification leading to PhD degrees abroad. These fully funded PhD level Scholarships for the HEC recognized universities world wide are being announced subject being offered at FJWU (Please see web site www.fjwu.edu.pk for further information)

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Pakistani / AJK nationals (females only)
2. Candidates must have minimum sixteen years of education
3. Maximum two second division throughout the academic career.
4. Not less than 50% or D grade at any stage in academic career
5. Maximum age.
   a) 40 years for full time regular member of public sector universities / college and employees of the public sector R&D organizations ( Application for age relaxation can be submitted along with application)
   b) 35 years for fresh graduate
    
6. The candidates who are already availing HEC scholarship or any other scholarship are not to apply

Applications Procedure:

Prospective candidates should fill the application forms which are available at First Women Bank Ltd. and post to the Registrar's office of the Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi . Attach required documents along with prescribed application form.

• Only selected candidates may be offered faculty position (if the candidate is selected on merit and not employed elsewhere, or working in some other organization ) in which case they would be required to join FJWU within four weeks of issuance of the offer letter.
• Interested faculty members , both the present and newly inducted are required to complete all the admission requirements of the scholarship by the notified  deadlines.
• Scholarship award will cover full time tuition fee travel & maintenance allowance as per HEC rules.
• Scholars availing the scholarship are required to execute a surety bond duly signed by 1st class Magistrate to serve FJWU for a specified period after successful completion of studies abroad as per HRD fellowship as required by HEC.
• Those selected will have to sign a bond of five years with the FJWU for serving the university after completion of their studies abroad (number of year will increase for fresh appointees) or will have to return the money spent on their PhD studies same will apply to incomplete degrees.

Application forms complete in all respect should reach the office of the Registrar, Fatima Jinnah Women  University  the Mall Rawalpindi  by 2nd May 2008.
