INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN

This is a site based position reporting to Maintenance Supervisor with minimum 05 years of experience in field of instrumentation and control preferably with expertise in maintaining gas analysers.

Major  responsibility includes conducting site instrument and control's preventive and corrective maintenance with an ability to work on Computerised Maintenance Management system to ensure safe and efficient operations; a good knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for gas chromatographs, PLC and DCS systems is desired; assist Maintenance Supervisors to maintain and establish adequate levels of consumables and strategic instrumentation & control system spare parts; have good understanding of permit to work system and safety analysis with active participation in field emergency response. Selected incumbent shall be required to effectively communicate with other Technicians and Supervisors and other support staff with effective workplace relationship to optimise day-to-day oil and gas production activities; would be expected to actively participate in competence based training program.

Diploma in an instrumentation or recognized trade apprenticeship in petrochemical industry with 5-7 years experience in maintaining and servicing of gas purification and petrochemical facilities.
