OMV is Austria's largest industrial group engaged in Oil & Gas Exploration and Production activities in over 20 countries worldwide. OMV (Pakistan) Exploration GmbH, with its head office in Islamabad, is a subsidiary of OMV AG. The Company has an active exploration program in Pakistan in different concession areas. OMV Pakistan is producing gas from its Miano and Sawan fields in districts Sukkur and Khairpur in Sindh.

We are looking fro suitably qualified and experience individuals to fill the following Islamabad based permanent and contractual positions.

Senior Process Engineer (Permanent - Head Office based)

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide support for execution of design work and review documents developed by engineering contractors
• Approve, within the level of authority, engineering design and deviations from design standards, procedures and vendor recommendations
• Provide technical support for process design of the plant equipments, design reviews, evaluations and safety studies
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting of problems at running plants, commissioning and construction activities
• Evaluate & monitor plant & equipment process efficiency, benchmark performance and propose modification for improvement
• Develop process simulation models and evaluate operating modes of plant
• Standardise process equipment specifications for all modifications and new developments

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Sc. Chemical Engineering with minimum 7 years of experience in process design and plant operations with minimum of 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
• Strong knowledge of applicable international standards, Plant design specifications & philosophies, statutory regulations & requirements for safety & environment
• Good analytical, coordination and communication skills

Reservoir Engineer (Permanent - Head Office based)

Key Accountabilities:

• Liaison with production department for smooth and effective production operations
• Assist and guide Asset Managers in reservoir engineering matters
• Update and run existing simulation models as per development requirement
• Develop new simulation models
• Generation of Production profiles of exploration prospects for economic evaluation
• Use commercial softwares to evaluate/analyse upstream and downstream potential of wells and production system
• Perform and document reserve calculations and classifications

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering (preferably Masters degree)
• 5-7 years of operational experience
• Proficient user of computer and job related software programmes (Eclipse etc.)
• Sound understanding of dynamic modeling
• Excellent coordination and communication skills

Piping Engineer (Contract - Head Office based)

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide technical support for mechanical engineering design of the plant stationary equipment, Vessels, Exchangers & Piping / Flowlines
• Carryout related design reviews, evaluations and safety studies
• Review fatigue analysis, stress analysis, load bearing capacities, review predictive maintenance requirements and evaluate operating modes of plant
• Ensure quality of engineering design work and implementation of contractor's quality plans
• Review third party inspection requirements during fabrication and certification requirements during equipment erection.
• Review requirement of spares and inventory management system
• Approve, within the level of authority, engineering design and deviations from design standards

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years of experience in engineering design of piping and stationary equipment
• Familiar with applicable international standards, Plant design specifications & philosophies, statutory regulations & requirements for safety & environment
• Excellent coordination and communication skills
