Association Development and Management Specialist - CNFA

This individual will be the Manager of the Local Economics Development component of the ILED project, direct and monitor Islamabad and field based staff. Guide staff to implement component activities and meet deadlines. Other responsibilities will include.

  1. Assess types of economic development projects could fit within the value chain grants program, including but not limited to women's programs, micro/small enterprise development initiatives, micro-economic programs, etc. and
  2. Identifying value chain grant beneficiaries and forming them into similar sector groups.
  3. Formalizing of these groups into associations, societies and cooperatives
  4. Develop the methodology and the systems for forming, processing and monitoring community development projects with the groups that have been formed under the program.
  • Providing technical and programmatic direction to both the Mansehra and Bagh Regional Local Economics Development Teams.
  • Assessing the accomplishments of the Local Economic Development Teams in quarterly and final reports to USAID and CNFA,
  • Reporting to the Program Director

Qualifications:

  •  Advanced degree in international affairs, community development, development economics or related field
  • Prior knowledge and experience in policy reform process. Experience working with government counterparts.
  • Association, society/cooperative development experience.
  • Prior Experience in Earth quake affected areas with emphasis on Mansehra in NWFP and Bagh in AJ&K provinces.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Urdu, Hindko and Pashtu are preferred.
