PRE-QUALIFICATION

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) invites applications from Contactors / Construction firms of repute and sound financial standing for Pre-qualification / Tender for the construction of Facility Office Block at its permanent campus at Park Road, Chak Shahzad, Islamabad. Interested Contractors / Construction Firms, who meet the eligible criteria listed below are required to submit their applications.

1. Name, permanent address and telephone numbers.

2. Partnership Deed / Articles of Associates in case of Company / Limited Firm with Power of Attorney.

3. Certificate of Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in Department with updated renewal thereof.

4. Name of similar projects costing up to Rs. 100 million each executed in the last three years and in hand along with their nature, magnitude and period of completion, fully supported with the satisfactory performances / progress certificate for these works by all such Department / Clients.

5. List of qualified technical and supervisory staff along with their bio data.

6. List of construction plant and machinery in working order available with the Contractor / Firm required for such type of work.

7. Proof of registration with Income Tax Department along with certificate of up-to-date payment of Income Tax , Assessment order etc.

8. Proof of financial standing duly supported with documentary proof / bank certificate , balance sheet, annual accounts etc.

9. An affidavit that the Contractor / Firm have not been in Litigation / black listed by any Client / Government  / Semi-Government Department / Autonomous Body.

2. The firms who meet the criteria mentioned under sub-para "a t o i" above will be eligible to purchase tender documents and shall be informed accordingly.

3. A complete of Tender Documents may be purchased on payment of Rs. 5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand only) non-refundable as the cost of Tender Documents from the office of Project Directors, CIIT Campus at Park Road, Islamabad on any working day during hours up to three day prior to tender opening date.

4. All tender must be accompanied by a Tender Security equivalent to two present (2%) of the bid price in a form as laid down in Instructions to Tenders.

5. It is intended to hold a pre-tender meeting on June 09, 2008 at 11 AM in Meeting Room at CIIT campus at Park Road, Islamabad. All prospective Tenderers are invited to attend.

6. Tender will be received in the office of the Project Director, CIIT campus at park Road, Islamabad by June 13, 2008 at  11:00 AM. Tenders will be opened at 11:30 AM on the same day, in the presence of Tenderers / Tenderers Representatives who choose to attend.

7. The competent authority reserves the right to reject any applications without assigning any reason (s) thereof.
