Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of
Pakistan, in collaboration with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is
launching a "Business Plan Competition" to encourage young entrepreneurs to
come up with new, innovative and implementable business plans in any filed. The
business plan (for profit) can be for a new product, a service, infrastructure
such as energy, a new enterprise, improvements in processes and techniques,
income generation and revenue enhancement of small entrepreneurs in rural /
urban settings.
Eligibility: Young people (15-29
years of age) who are the citizens of Pakistan, including AJK, N.A. and FATA are
eligible to participate individually or as a team in the competition.
Terms and Condition:

The plan has to be original, ensuring
that there will be no violation of the intellectual Property Right (IPR) and
an affidavit to this effect submitted by the proposer (each member of the
team, if the proposer is a team).

The business plan will be evaluated by a
team of experts/judges, Initially a total of 15 business plans will be short
listed and their proposers will be invited to make presentations, Out of those
shortlisted, upto 10 proposals will be selected by the panel of
experts/Judges. The winners will be awarded a cash prize of Pak Rs. 50,000/-
alongwith a certificate. Equal representation will be given to proposals
pertaining to both rural and urban settings.
Important: The last date for
submission of the proposal is 29-08-2008. Guidelines for intending
participants can be downloaded from the Ministry's website (
www.moya.gov.pk )
The proposal should be submitted electronically at
soic@moya.gov.pk. Five hard copies & a
CD should also be submitted to Ms. Rabia Muzaffar, Research Officer, Ministry of
Youth Affairs latest by 29-08-2008.
Note: All the participate should submit their CV's
clearly indicating their data of birth, and contact details alongwith a copy of
CNIC.
