EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

CONSULTANCY SERVICES REQUIRED FOR THE PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY

STUDY WITH RESPECT TO "CONSTRUCTION OF MINI DAMS IN AJK"

1. Technical and Financial proposals are invited National and International Consulting Firms registered with Pakistan Council (if required) For Consultancy services for "THE PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY STUDY WITH RESPECT TO CONSTRUCTION MINI DAMS IN AJK" from the office of the undersigned.

2. The Technical and Financial proposals complete in all respect in separate envelope for each district should reach the undersigned on or before 05-08-2008.

3. BROAD SCOPE OF SERVICES INCLUDES: 1. Consultancy services are required to entail the following aspects: A. Selection of Potential Sites in all the districts of the State. Investigation of Dam Site with respect to i. Topographic Survey ii. Geological Mapping iii. Construction Material Evaluation. 2. Topography and Tectonics 3. Regional Geology and Tectonics. i. Regional Geology & Tectonics ii. Stratigraphy of Dam Site areas.4. Geology of Reservoir Areas. 5) Geology & Engineering of Dam Site Areas. 6) Foundation Conditions at Dam Sites 7) Seismicity and seismic Hazard Assessment. 8) Future Investigation, 9) Command Area Development. 10) Benefits accruing through Agriculture Development . 11) Irrigation Requirement. 12) Sociological Viability. 13) Detail Design and estimates. 14) Selection of quarry for the evaluation of construction material for each dam site. 15) Possibility of aquaculture development 16.) Possibility of hydel power generation . 17) Possibility of Tourism development 18) Economics and Financial Analysis. 19) Preparation of PC-I for each Site. 20) Preparation of Bidding Documents.

4. BID DATA OF FIRMS:
   The Consultancy firms shall submit complete bio-data including details with soft copy of PDF format.
   Name, address, phone/tax numbers and E-mail address.
   Registration/accreditation with relevant agencies and local / foreign associates.
   Yearly turnover of the firm for the last five years.
   Structure of company.
   List of present staff with relevant experience.
   Experience of firms and geographic Coverage.
   Detail of already completed works of similar nature.
   Financial statement (Bank statement balance sheet, audit report for last 3 years).
   Facilitate available (office, software and hardware, records keeping).
   Affidavit of no litigation and proven experience for such type of jobs conducted.

5. Since the job requires very high Tech expertise and experience therefore, only those consultants / Firms should apply, who are fully capable and experienced of conducting such type of work.

6. Director irrigation Department of Agriculture, reserve the right to reject any or all the received bids without assigning any reason thereof.
