REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

UNDP:

Gender Justice and Protection (GJP) Project is a component of the Gender Support Programme of UNDP. GJP has been Iaunched with an objective to ''Create and support mechanisms for sustainable reduction in Violence against Women in Pakistan''. In order to promote actions by the government and civil society organizations, a financial resource pool (fund) has been created under the GJP project. Government and civil society organizations can benefit from the resource pool by submitting proposals on a prescribed format, focusing on, but no9t limited to, the following Priority Areas:

1. Capacity Building
2. Advocacy and Awareness Raising
3. Action-oriented Research and Documentation
4. Legal Aid
5. Up-scaling promising practices

The details of the priority areas and the prescribed format are available in the request for proposal (RFP). The proposals are required to follow the prescribed format. The RFP can be obtained from the website: www.undp.org.pk/bids/  or by writing to the National Project Manager, GJP.

Interested Government and Civil Society Organizations are encouraged to submit their proposal (three copies) by August 11,2008.
