MEDIA PROFESSIONAL

A USAID Working at the national and provincial level with parliaments in Pakistan, seeks applicants for the professional position described hereunder.

PARLIAMENTARY REPRESENTATION ADVISOR

The Representation Advisor will lead efforts to improve national and provincial parliament interaction with citizens.  Responsibilities include organizing and providing training and technical assistance to improve/develop websites, conduct public hearings, strengthen ties with civil society organizations, and improve media coverage of parliament.  The Representation Advisor will coordinate and work closely with Pakistani and International experts. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 5 years experience with public outreach/public relations, policy advocacy or media relations associated.
• Demonstrated familiarity with Pakistan Parliamentary structures including media, committee operations, and policy development.
• Experience developing and conducting training programs.
• Experience in project management/coordination or develpment.
• Journalism background preferred.
• A post-graduate degree, and
• Fluency in English and Urdu.
