APPOINTMENT OF LEGAL FIRM (S)

AJK Private Power Cell (AJK-PPC) is responsible for facilitating the establishment of power plants in the private sector. AJK-PPC plans to use the services of a legal firm(s) with offices situated in Islamabad, having demonstrated experience related to power projects preferably in the private sector. The firm(s) will be required to provide legal services to AJK-PPC including, but not limited to opinions on legal matters, drafting of documents, negotiations and dispute resolution. The firms are required to provide the following information:

• Hourly rates together with detailed curriculum vitae including experience and assignments undertaken by the following categories of its professionals (which may if requested be supported with documentary evidence):

Partners

Associates

• Terms and conditions of the firm on an hourly charge out basis.
• A detailed profile of the firm.

The offer should reach AJK-PPC in a sealed envelope, providing the relevant information, which should be dropped into the office at the under-mentioned address not later than 1300 hours on Monday 30th April 2007. All responses thereto will be opened in the presence of the representatives of the responding firms on Monday 30th April 2007 at 1400 hours. After due evaluation, the selected firm(s) will be notified within 15 days of the opening of the sealed proposals.
