SERVICE PROVIDERS / CONSULTING FIRMS - EOI

1. In addition to its investment work in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) through the Private Enterprise Partnership for MENA (PEP-MENA) is providing advisory services aimed at private sector development. PEP MENA is a donor-funded facility covering 19 countries in the region including Pakistan. As part of its interventions to improve the business environment for private sector development in Pakistan. PEP MENA has lunched the Pakistan Corporate Governance Project (PCGP) which seeks to build sustainable banks and enterprises through improved corporate governance practice.

2. As part the its efforts, PCGP is now seeking to build the capacity of local service providing to be able to provide corporate governance services to Pakistani companies and financial institutions. Such services are expected to comprise but not be limited to the following:

(i) Conducting technical training events for board members and senior executives on corporate governance issues, and

(ii) Conducing corporate governance assessments and review as well as consultations for companies.

3. Expressions of Interest (EOI) for receiving capacity building assistance are now invited from eligible consulting firms who meet the following criteria.

(a) Have been in business for at least five years

(b) Are working with companies and financial institutions in Pakistan.

(c) Are committed to good corporate governance

(d) Have basic knowledge of and have been involved in at least one major event on corporate governance
