REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS (RFA)

PRIDE Project (Primary Healthcare Revitalization, Integration and Decentralization in the Earthquake affected areas) hereby invites applications from registered non-profit organizations with local presence to implement a Community Mobilization Strategy in the project districts of Mansehra, NWFP and Bagh, AJK. The strategy will mobilize communities so as to result in increased demand for and utilization of health services, and better health outcomes.

PRIDE Project is supported by the United States Agency for international Development (USAID) Only those applicants which meet relevant eligibility criteria may quality for a sub-grant, with priority going to organizations which posses the following characteristics.

a) Registered as not-for-profit organization under the appropriate government body in good standing with the local authorities and incompliance with applicable laws and fiscal regulations.

b) Have on-ground presence in Bagh or Mansehra districts whichever is being proposed applications.

c) Have basic financial management systems with relevant capacity to manage the sub-grant.

d) Currently active in community with existing programs, with demonstrated credibility and relevant experience.

e) Committed and flexibility to work in partnership with PRIDE.

Interested eligible parties may obtain a complete set of RFA documents in English language on the submission of a written application to the address below, Last date for obtaining RFA documents is 25th May 2007.

Applications must be delivered to the address below by 08th June 2007 by 6:00 pm. Late applications will not be entertained. PRIDE reserves the right to reject one or all applications without giving any reason. Applicant shall bear any and all costs associate with preparation of and filing the application. PRIDE will not be responsible to reimburse any costs whatsoever related to the application process.
