 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
 PROCUREMENT OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR REMODELING OF KATCHERY & CHUR CHOWK , RAWALPINDI ON N-5
 THROUGH DETAILED DESIGN OF UNDERPASS/ FLYOVER
 AND APPROACH ROADS
 1. National Highway Authority invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from Interested companies / joint ventures / firms for Procurement of Consultancy Services for Remodeling of Katchery and Chur Chowk
 Rawalpindi on N-5 through detailed design of Underpass / Flyover and Approach Roads. The existing road infrastructure at these intersection on G.T.Road (N-5) is insufficient to effective manage and regulate the voluminous traffic, leading to traffic holdups, congestion and accidents.
 2. Salient features of the design services to be performed shall be as under.
 a. Development of various conceptual plans / proposals for remodeling of Katchery and chur chowk by provision of underpass/ flyover,
 b. Technical and financial viability of different options.
 c. Conducting traffic and topographic surveys along with sub-surface geotechnical investigations.
 d. Preparation of Environment Impact Report .
 e. Preparation of traffic Management Plan.
 f. Preparation of Land Acquisition and Utility / Infrastructure Folders.
 g. Preparation of Tender Documents, Estimates, Drawing, Design Report and Work Schedule.
 h. Preparation of PC-1
 3. The companies / joint ventures / firms are required to submit the following documents to enable NHA to assess and evaluate the qualification of the companies/ joint ventures/ firms:
 a. Valid Registration with PEC (Marks 10)
 b. Companies / joint Ventures/ Firms profile (Name, Address, Telephone, Fax , E-mail, National Tax Number, Registered Offices in Pakistan etc) and experience (Marks 15)
 c. Financial capabilities of the last three years (Marks 20)
 d. Personal capabilities with bio-data of key personal duty signed (Marks 20)
 e. Relevant past experience on design of such facility (Marks 10)
 f. Litigation History (Marks 05) '
 g. Certificate that the firm has never been black listed (Marks 05)
 h. Method Statement that how the company will proceed with remodeling of Katchery and Chur Chowk through preparation of concept plans, your own understanding of the services required under the project , suggestions for further improvements, and cogent reason why your performance will be better than rest, if work is a awarded to you (Marks 15)
 Note:
 If any information given in the application is found incorrect then pre-qualification will be cancelled without notice.
 4. The Expression of Interest (EOI) shall be received in sealed envelopes clearly marked and signed by applicants in the office of General Manager (Operations) NHA Islamabad up to 1400 hours on 20.06.2007
 5. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to pre-qualified companies / joint ventures/ firms only which will contain the data of submission and opening of bids, which will be opened in the presence of the representatives of the companies, who may choose to attend on the date, time and venue as prescribed in the REP.
 6. Further details (if any) can be obtained from the office of General Manager (Operations) on any working day.
 7. National Highway Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the proposals without assigning any reason (s) thereof.
