EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

We are major specialized bank , based in Islamabad , focusing on rural  finance and development , with a wide network of branches across the country . The management has taken up a major restructuring program to put the Bank on a viable and self-sustained basis , to operate on commercial lines to expand its outreach. In order to strengthen its date processing , automation and support servicing mechanism , the Bank intends to induct the Executive Vice President for its Information System Division at its  Head Office. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer , the incumbent should at least hold a Master's degree in IT/ Computer Science / MBA MIS / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. The incumbent should have a minimum 12-15 years of experience out of which at last 5 years in a similar position , preferably  with a financial institution. The job specifications are as  follows:

Manage the administrative and operational functions of the Information System Division comprising of Data centre Operations , Systems Development , Technical and user Support, and IT Security.

Work  closely with Senior Bank and Business Management to identify the IT requirements of the Bank and develop plans and direct all data processing activities of the Bank through new or improved systems.

Keep abreast of IT developments relevant to the Bank and bringing those which would improve the operational  effectiveness of the Bank to the attention of appropriate Senior Management.

Manage the IT infrastructure and vendors , evaluate new technical developments in both Hardware and software in view of Banks plans and objectives and provide to Banks management feasibility study  of efficient , cost-effective and secure computer systems and services with recommendations for appropriate solutions

Ensure the IT system are continuously available to users during pre-determined periods, agree with users.

Mange data processing development projects and other communications related projects , resources utilization of Banks staff as well of vendors production performance , with periodical reporting to the management.

Review requests from user area for additional / enhancements of data processing services and identify impacts , resources and authorize execution where appropriate.

Apply cost / benefits analysis methods to current and proposed applications hardware and software configuration , organization structuring and personnel management.

Outstanding Customer service orientation is a must.

Should have excellent  communication , presentation and leadership skills.
