Invitation for Expression of Interest From Scheduled Banks of Pakistan Under the Project

"Water Conservation and Productivity Enhancement through High Efficiency Irrigation Systems"

Federal Water Management Cell (FWMC) of MINFAL is launching a mega project titled "Water Conservation and Productivity Enhancement through High Efficiency Irrigation Systems" costing Rs.18.00 Billion in selected areas of all four provinces of Pakistan including other Areas(AJK, FATA & FANA).  The project envisages installation of High Efficiency (Pressurized) Irrigation Systems (HEISs) including Drip/Sprinkler Irrigation Systems on about 300,000 acres over a period of five years. Selected Scheduled Banks would be responsible to manage deposits from Federal and Provincial Governments including farmers share for subsequent payments to the selected Supply and Services Companies upon installation of HEIS schemes in selected areas of the country on turn-key basis.

Scheduled Banks of Pakistan, interested in submission of EOI for providing their services for the said project, are requested to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) at the earliest but not later than 2nd July, 2007 indicating.

    1.    Name and Year of establishment of the Bank.

    2.    Classification/Rating of the Bank by the competent forum.

    3.    Copy of latest financials (Balance Sheet) audited and verified from a first class chartered
           Accountant Company for the last three years.

    4.    Organizational setup and Branch Network at District/Tehsil/Union Council level

    5.    Volume of credit disbursed annually in agriculture sector during last five years.

    6.    Any additional information to further elaborate the Bank's capabilities.

Banks who would be Pre-qualified on the basis of information provided will be invited for finalization of terms and conditions under the subject project.  The EOI may be submitted to FWMC at the given address without any obligation.  For further details, if any, the office of the D.G(FWMC) may be approached.
