Expressions of Interest

Citizens Network for Foreign Affairs (CNFA) is implementing a 3 year USAID funded 'Improving Livelihoods and Enterprise Development (ILED) programme in the earthquake affected areas of Kaghan and Siran Valleys in Mansehra District and Bagh District of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The poultry sector suffered heavily in Bagh during the earthquake. Poultry Farmers haven't been able to rebuild their lost poultry houses or replace equipment lost. CNFA plans to work in this sector to introduce improved poultry housing designs, modern equipment and better farm management practices to help build back the industry based on current best practices and new technology.

The dairy sector has also been identified as an important sector and efforts are underway for introducing improved breeds, better farm management practices and new equipment and technology in the programme area. The design and construction of livestock shelters will also be the focus of I-LED activities in the dairy sector.

CNFA seeks applications from qualified individuals / organizations in anticipation of the work described over the next two years in the following areas:

1. Equipment providers in poultry including the following pre-fabricated poultry housing, feeding systems (manual and automated), automatic nipple drinking systems, ventilation and cooling systems, control panels generators etc.

2. Equipment providers in dairy including ear tags, water pumps, water reservoirs/troughs, pipe, wire, bricks, concrete, mastitis control equipment, cooling systems (fans, water piping, spray nozzels), fencing feed mangers, feed grinder, etc.

3. Engineering firms with experience designing large commercial dairy and poultry housing solutions.

4. Contractors/construction firms with experience building large commercial dairy and poultry housing solutions, including pre-fabricated housing solutions.
