EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

FOR THE IMPORT AND SUPPLY OF FURNITURE FROM RENOWNED

FURNITURE MANUFACTURERS FROM MALAYSIA, CHINA, ETC.

The COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT). Islamabad, Pakistan is establishing its permanent campus at Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, Pakistan. The construction of the civil structures / buildings include two academic blocks, one each having covered area of 80,000 sq.ft. and 100,000 sq.ft. and central library having covered area of 55,000 sq.ft. The first academic block is nearing completion, central library will be completed by December 2007 and second academic block will be complete in March 2008.

Furniture for the above mentioned buildings is required. The academic block includes class rooms, department library, seminar room, discussion rooms, faculty and staff offices, computer labs, scientific / research labs, conference room, reception, etc.

Expression of Interest is solicited from the importers of the furniture from renowned manufacturers from Malaysia, China, etc. It is requested to send the documents as under:

a) Name of firms / company

b) Contact person name, address, phone, fax, and e-mail

c) Year of establishment / proof of registration

d) Proof of Import License and copies of agreement / dealership by Malaysian / Chinese Furniture Manufacturers.

e) Name of major clients in last three years for whom furniture imported (for relevant works related to the stated tender only) with verifiable contacts.

f) Proof of registration with GST as well as NTN number

g) Sales Tax exemption status (if Applicable)

h) Affidavit that the firms/ company has never been black listed by the government / public entity.

i) Bank letter of financial standing.

The documents must reach the office below latest by 1600 hours on July 26, 2007.
