Consultants - Policy / Regulations / Legal

A Government Agency seeks the services of qualified, experienced and task oriented professionals on contact basis initially for a period of one year with provision of further extension.

The brief description of the duties and responsibilities are as under:

(1) Consultant (Policy and Regulation)

The candidates must have a degree in engineering / geology/geophysics with technical and / or legal background and at least 20 years of experience in petroleum sector. The persons having experience in policy formulation / implementation and regulatory matters in E&P sector will be given preference. The job involves implementation of the Petroleum Policies, amendment/clean up of existing Model Concession Documents, suggestions/changes in laws, rules, regulations, SROs, CGOs, guidelines and other standing instructions/orders of the Government in line with the policy, preparation of relevant documents, assistance in pre-qualification of E&P companies other matters related to implementation of policy / regulation and perform such other tasks assigned by the competent authority.

(2) Consultant (Legal)

The candidates must have the legal academic background (LLB/LLM/Doctorate) with minimum 10th years post qualification experience in the relevant field, particularly dealing with legal matters of oil and gas companies. He must be exposed to working environment of the relevant government agencies and oil and gas industry in Pakistan, besides being well versed with the rules and policies as promulgated by the Government from time to time. The candidate must have strong ability to deal with the issues concerning the implementation of the Petroleum Policies and all matters connected therewith, along with expertise for legal advices, drafting and vetting of the amendments in agreements, applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, SROs, CGOs other standing instructions/orders of GOP in line with new Policy and perform such other tasks assigned by the competent authority.
