For Construction of Bridge over River Chenab at Chund, District Jhang

1. National Highway Authority (NHA) invites sealed bids from the interested firms for the Construction of Bridge over River Chenab at Chund District Jhang.

2. Contractors registered with PEC in Category C-1 (No Limit) specialized in category CE-01 & CE-02 and have substantially completed at least one Bridge Project of Rs. 500 million as well as fulfilling the following pre-requisites (for the year 2006-07) are eligible to participate in the bidding competition:

a. Minimum Networking Capital - 36 million

b. Minimum Net Worth - 72 million

c. Minimum Annual Turnover - 300 million

3. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased from the office of the General Manager (P&CA) on production of (i) pre-requisite documents duly supported by authenticated documents and (i) Demand Draft or Pay order amounting to Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only), non-refundable in favour of National Highway Authority, Islamabad being the cost of bidding documents on any working day during the office hours up to 20th August, 2007.

4. The bids shall be received in the office of National Highway Authority located at 27-Mauve Area, G-9/1, Islamabad on 21st August, 2007 until 1100 hours and will be opened at 1130 hours on the same day in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who may choose to attend Bid security in the form of pay order or demand draft in favour of National Highway Authority, Islamabad should be furnished in the amount not less than 2% of the Bid Price.

5. National Highway Authority reserves the right to reject any or all the bids without assigning any reason (s) thereof.

6. The advertisement dated 29th July 2007 for Pre-qualification of Contractors for Construction of Bridge over River Chenab at Chund, District Jhang may be treated as cancelled.
