PRE-QUALIFICATION NOTICE

FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR UP-GRADATION AND RELOCATION OF KAKAKURUM HIGHWAY (KKH) FOR BASHA DIAMER DAM PROJECT

1. National Highway Authority (NHA) intends to "Up-grade and Relocate karakurum Highway (KKH) for Basha Diamer Dam Project." The said work is to be constructed in following Sections/Packages:

2. National Highway Authority (NHA) invites applications for Pre-qualification of Firms for Up-gradation and Relocation of above mentioned Projects on KKH. The interested Firms registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in Category C-1 (N0  Limit) with specialization in CE-01 and CE-02 for the year 2007 are eligible to apply for pre-qualification.

3. A complete set of pre-qualification documents may be purchased by interested Firms on submission of a written application to the address given below upon payment of non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) in the form of a Bank Draft or Pay Order in favour of National Highway Authority or the same can be download from the NHA website mentioned below. If download from NHA website, Demand Draft/Pay Order for Rs. 500/- being non-refundable fee of PQ document must be submitted with the application otherwise the application will not be considered for pre-qualification.

4. Application for pre-qualification duly completed and supported with the documentary evidence, should be submitted in sealed envelopes, and delivered to the address given below latest by 23rd October, 2007 and be clearly marked "Pre-qualification Application for Up-gradation and Relocation of Karakurum Highway (KKH) for Basha Diamer Dam Project" along with one soft copy in PDF format.

5. The Firms/Contractors providing unsubstantiated and/or incorrect information are liable to legal and dis-qualification.

6. The advertisement dated 7th July 2006 for Pre-qualification of Contractors by Up-gradation and Relocation of Karakurum Highway (KKH) for Bash Diamer Dam Project may be treated as cancelled and firms are required to apply afresh.

7. National Highway Authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason(s) thereof.
