Broadband Initiative

After successful start of Rural Telecom Project, USFCo is please to announce the launch of it's Broadband Initiative.

In this connection USFCo will conduct bidding process for the award of subsidy of assist the Service Providers meet costs of providing Broadband Services. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the international competitive bidding procedures.

To carry out this process, USFCo has prepared a "Concept Paper" proposing details of the Broadband Initiative, like targets, bidding process, basic parameters, edibility/registration conditions, event schedule and other information. This Concept Paper is placed on the USFCo website www.usf.org.pk under the title "Broadband Initiative".

All stakeholders and interested persons are invited to give their suggestions, comments ideas, etc. on the Concept presented in the said Paper at the email address: broadband.feedback@usf.org.pk

These suggestions/comments/ideas will be received till 13th November 2007. after which USFCo will compile the feedback and hold an Open Forum where all participants will be invited to discuss, debate and help USFCop finalise the way forward. Date of this Open Forum will be announced soon after 13th November 2007.

USFCo requested all stakeholders to come forward and participate in this nation-building endearvor.
