Supply and installation of Lab Equipments for KIU

Tenders are hereby invited from contractors having enlistment with Karakoram International University for Laboratory equipments and chemicals.

Terms and conditions: 

1 The firm should have registration with Karakoram International University for Laboratory Equipments, Chemicals and Glassware. They must also be registered with the sales tax department of the Government of Pakistan and have a National Tax Number in the name of the company. Firms having relevant experience and authorization in the field may apply for proper enlistment. Following documents should be attached:

a) Letter of incorporation from Registrar of Firms.

b) Bank Statement forthe last six months.

c) Detailed profile of the firm showing documentary proofs of the experience.

d) Affidavit to the effect that the firm has not been blacklisted from any Government department/organization.

e) Enlistment fee Rs.5000/- in shape of Demand Draft from any scheduled bank.

 f) Document indicating registration with sales tax department of Government of Pakistan

g) Certificate with National Tax number in name of company.

2 Bids should be sealed.

3 Original catalogues, brochures, detailed technical specifications including model details should be attached.

4 Equipment quoted should be from manufacturers which are from Europe, Singapore, Korea or North America. Pakistani and China made equipment will not be considered for evaluation.

5 For each equipment, a single vendor/distributor should offer a specific make and model or models) from a single manufacturer and not from multiple manufacturers.

6 Only authorized distributors can participate with letter of authorization from the manufacturer. The firms participating without authorization will be disqualified at the stage of bids evaluation process.

7 Conditions and coverage of warranties, guaranties, backup services, installation and after sales services along with details of technical staff must also be provided with the tenders.

a.) Details of technical staff capable of installation commissioning, user trainings, and after sales support must be given, and technical training certificates of staff and engineers must be provided.

b.) Calibration certificate and documents indicating that the "equipment is ready to use for diagnostic/research purposes" must accompany the tender.

8 Details and specifications of equipments can be obtained from Purchase Section on payment of Rs. 500/-as non-refundable bid documents fee.

9 2% earnest money of tender cost in shape of call deposit from any scheduled bank should be attached.

10 Sealed tenders should reach the office of the undersigned by 12:00 PM on August 3, 2015 by Registered TCS which will be opened in University Conference at about 12:30 PM on same date in presence of the Committee members and bidders as per clause 28 of PPRA RULES.

11 Single stage two envelopes procedure (Separate envelopes for Technical and Financial Proposals) for open competitive bidding will be adopted as per Clause 36(b) of Public Procurement Rules, 2004. The technical specifications will be reviewed by a Technical Committee/ Consultant to ensure equipment meets specifications and quality required before financial envelope is opened.

12 Ambiguous, conditional and void tenders are liable to be rejected.

13 The University reserves the rights to reject all or any of the bids prior to acceptance as per clause 33 of the Public Procurement Rules, 2004.
